The coast of Alcanar district presents a variety of beaches (sandy beaches, beaches with small rocks or small, private beaches) to satisfy all bathers.
More, the quality of the water is officially attested since 1992 and yearly reconfirmed by the Junta de Sanejament. The beach of Les Cases d'Alcanar has the European Blue Flag since 1994, the maximum award which recompenses a distinguished beach with respect to both sanitary and environment standards.
Since ancient times this coast witnessed all the variety of boats anchoring in Europe's biggest natural port: Els Alfacs. Its 150 km2 is the perfect place for all aquatic sports.
